Lucky Dog Racing League is pleased to welcome Solar Team Eindhoven, a multidisciplinary team of young college students from the University of Technology in Eindhoven (UT/e), which is located The Netherlands. UT/e is considered the MIT of Europe. The team consists of 23 students--young woman and men--who design, build and race the STELLA car.

And we're honored to have some very special Netherland representatives in attendance!

More about STELLA...Every two years a new STELLA team is formed, then for eighteen months they put their hearts and souls into the STELLA project, to design and build the next STELLA solar-powered racecar. The STELLA team is known worldwide for developing innovations in automotive technology and racing.

In 2013 and again 2015 the STELLA team won the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge Race, a 7-day endurance race in Australia.

In January 2017 the STELLA solar racecar will be in California on an exclusive tour to connect the STELLA project with young elementary-age students who have participated in a unique educational experience. The elementary-age students build their own mini replica of STELLA as part of a unique Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math (STEAM) program. More about this program from Fused Learning is outlined below.

On January 8th 2017 the STELLA team will be in Monterey, CA to showcase the actual STELLA racecar and connect with students and families throughout the Central Coast. The purpose of the tour is to showcase innovations in automotive technology and inspire the next generation of automotive enthusiasts. And STELLA will serve as the pace car to start the Lucky Dog Racing League endurance race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 9:00am sharp!  FREE ADMISSION & PARKING!

On Sunday, we will also be honored with presence of This STELLA tour is part of a Education Exchange whereby students from The Netherlands will connect with students from the Bay Area, Silicon Valley and the Central Coast to exchange ideas about opportunities in automotive technology (Smart Mobility) as well as energy and sustainability (Smart Cities).
